Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating all claimants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

  1. The Promotion is open to all residents of Great Britain aged 18 or over.
  2. Employees of the Promoter and its affiliate companies, their families and anyone deemed to be professionally involved with or connected to the Promotion are not permitted to enter the Promotion.
  3. Purchase, smartphone and mobile number are required for entry. Smartphone and internet access required to claim in the event you are a winner.
  4. To enter the Promotion, purchase a participating product from Morrisons during the promotional period and text GUINNESS, your date of birth in the following format DDMMYYYY and the last 4 digits of your product barcode to 66222 to find out instantly whether you are a winner.
  5. Entrants are advised to take care when entering the text code and entry details. The Promoter is not responsible for typographical errors and incorrect texts may still be charged. Only correct entries that have followed the instructions and the correct order, i.e. GUINNESS, date of birth (DDMMYYYY) and last 4 digits of barcode will be accepted. Capital letters or lowercase letters will both be accepted. Text entries will be charged at your standard network rate and may not be included in any inclusive text message package.
  6. Limited to one entry per person & mobile number per day. Maximum of 4 entries per person & mobile number in total over the promotional period. Limited to 2 prizes per household.
  7. Any entry or claim that does not comply with the limitations in the terms and conditions will be discarded and where a prize has been awarded it will be lost and placed in the wrap up draw after the close of the promotion.
  8. There are up to 1,000 Guinness Christmas Jumpers available to be won. Winners will be notified immediately via text message.
  9. There are two promotional periods for this promotion as detailed below:
    1. First promotional period: Start date: 00:00 on 23rd October 2024 Close date: 23:59 on 19th November 2024
    2. Second promotional period: Start date: 00:00 on 20th November 2024 Close date: 23:59 on 31st December 2024
  10. The winners will be selected via 1,000 predetermined, random Winning Moments throughout the promotional period. During the first promotional period, there will be 700 winning moments. There will be 300 winning moments during the second promotional period. The first entrant to enter their details and make a valid entry on or after the occurrence of a Winning Moment will be awarded a Christmas Jumper.
  11. Each winner will receive a Guinness Christmas Jumper. Winners will find out instantly if they have won a Christmas Jumper. Winners will receive a text message which will contain a link to a claim form. Winners will be required to claim their Christmas Jumper by completing the online claim form with their first name, last name, mobile number, postal address and select which size they require. Where a Guinness Christmas Jumper size is unavailable this will be greyed out and you will not be able to select the size. Winners that do not claim their Guinness Christmas Jumper within 7 days will forfeit their prize and the prize will be placed into the wrap up draw.
  12. There are 4 sizes available (S, M, L or XL) and sizes are subject to availability. Where the Guinness Christmas Jumper size is unavailable, you will be able to select an alternative size. Please be careful when selecting the size as winners will not be able to return or exchange their Christmas Jumper after winning. We reserve the right to award an alternative size if your chosen size is unavailable. Guinness Christmas Jumper are 100% acrylic, washable at 40 degrees. There is only one style of Guinness Christmas Jumper available to be won. Images of the Christmas Jumper are for illustrative purposes only and may vary slightly from the images shown.

  1. Wrap up draw: Any Guinness Christmas Jumper(s) that are not won or remain unclaimed at the end of both promotional periods on 31st December 2024 will be placed into a wrap up draw which will be conducted by 10th January 2024. All valid entrants who did not win a prize will be placed into the wrap up draw.
  2. Wrap up draw winners will receive a text message to the mobile number that they entered the promotion with within 7 days of the wrap up draw. The text message will contain a unique link that the winner needs to follow to complete the claim form with their personal details within 7 days to claim their Guinness Christmas Jumper.
  3. Wrap up draw winners who click on the link will be redirected to the claim form to provide their first name, last name, mobile number and postal address to send their Guinness Christmas Jumper to. Winners will also be asked to select their required Christmas Jumper size. Guinness Christmas Jumper sizes will be subject to availability. If your Christmas Jumper size is not available, you will be able to select an alternative size.
  4. A maximum of one set of wrap up draw winners will be contacted in total. Any unclaimed Guinness Christmas Jumpers after this time will be forfeited.
  5. Christmas Jumpers will be dispatched by Royal Mail Tracked Second Class post within 28 days of the win notification to the postal address provided upon claiming your prize. Delivery of the Christmas Jumper may be subject to delays due to Royal Mail strikes or other causes. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any Christmas Jumper which is lost in transit or unable to be delivered for whatever reason.
  6. Please ensure that you have entered your postal address in Great Britain correctly as the Promoter will not be held responsible for any prizes that are undeliverable due to incorrect delivery details. We will not dispatch any Christmas Jumpers to virtual UK addresses such as, but not limited to AddressPal, Mail Boxes etc, Ghost Mail or OOH Pod.
  7. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value
  8. The Promoter will use your personal information only in accordance with these terms and conditions and our privacy policy which can be found at https://footer.diageohorizon.com/dfs/assets/www.diageo.com/PrivacyPolicy_en.html?locale=en-gb. The Promoter will only use your personal information for the purpose of carrying out the Promotion. Where the Promoter is not responsible for the fulfilment of or delivery of the prize, the Promoter shall share your personal information with a third-party supplier who is responsible for the fulfilment of and delivery of the prize.
  9. Subject to paragraph 22 and without prejudice to the Promoter's data protection obligations under relevant law, the Promoter shall make available, upon receipt of a written request (which includes a correctly stamped self-addressed envelope for such a response) to Guinness Christmas Jumper (8336), PO Box 906, Chilton, HP22 9HR the winners’ surnames and counties for a period of 6 months after the closing date of the promotion.
  10. Entrants to the Promotion can, at any time (including at or before the time of entry), object to all or some of their personal information being made available in accordance with paragraph 21 by contacting consumercare.GBandIreland@diageo.com However, the Promoter shall provide the information set out in paragraph 21 upon request from such competent authorities (including the Advertising Standards Authority).
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable, Mailinator or Apple’s “Hide my Email” feature.
  12. The winners may be asked to take part in publicity.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, amend or terminate (temporarily or permanently) these terms and conditions or the Promotion with or without prior notice where it becomes necessary to do so due to any unforeseen circumstances outside their reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud or in the event of technical or other difficulties that might compromise its integrity).
  14. No correspondence will be entered into concerning the result and the Promoter’s decision in all matters relating to the Promotion is final.
  15. The Promoter and their agents accept no responsibility for entries that are not received for any reason or difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this Promotion and proof of submission will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
  16. While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, the Promoter will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to the Promoter or to the entrant at the time of entry to the Promotion or which are caused by a third party.
  17. This Promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
  18. Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in this Promotion.
